The Election Results.

By George Fairhurst
Let’s analyse this mess

So, that happened. I don’t want to type what just happened down, every time is just a stab to the brain cells that thought we were better than this. Donald Trump. Racist, sexist, homophobic, several times bankrupt, yet he managed to beat war monger, rapist defending, fracking supporting, charity stealing, Libya bombing and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. God where do I even begin to analyse this mess, I suppose I am going to start with the facts, then move into my rhetoric against everything. Let me just start with this though, this election has proven to me that I should never trust any sort of American journalism aside from the grassroots as Huffington Post, MSNBC, Fox and CNN predicted a Clinton win. 98% WERE THE ODDS ONE PAPER GAVE THAT HILLARY WOULD HAVE THIS IN THE BAG!

Now capitalising my rage seems immature but far be it from me to point out that the zits of the media all have been exposed for the pus-filled instruments of ugliness they are. Every poll, Donald was going to lose. Facebook even did a straw poll every other second they had when they weren’t sharing news articles of how the Republicans were doomed, well now the cows have come home now to find your mother in bed with the man next door who only came around for a bowl of sugar! Right, you can tell this is not a “but seriously guys” type of article, I am just dumbfounded and have more blame to point for this mess than any cad on the news who will blame the progressives as they always will.
So, in case it escaped your attention, Donald Trump won 276 electoral college votes meaning that he TOOK BLUE STATES that haven’t even voted slightly Republican since the days of Regan. First thing we can take from this heap of slime thrown on the wall is that this election has got to be the most messed up of all time. Pennsylvania voted for Trump despite every billy “I met Prince Charles once” bozo from whatever news station reporting that the place was a certain a Clinton win as a Kanye Album would have vulgar language. You know, I should have expected better honestly but this what happens when you DON’T TAKE THE CANDIDATE SERIOUSLY! I’ve spent the year watching this election and whenever the damn polls did the same two things they always do, we got the same robotic response.
“Trumps in the lead in the polls?! Don’t be stupid, the polls are all wrong!”
“See, Clinton is leading the Polls, gotta trust and love the polls.”
It’s just stupid to have that approach, it’s like saying we don’t need the heating on anymore as we’re all warm, despite that it came at the cost of burning the drapes in the living room. Nate Silver is one these idiots, combined with the Independent who only 24 hours ago, posted an article labelled “Here’s why it’s mathematically impossible for Donald Trump to Win.” I’m not only angry by how wrong and presumptuous it is, it’s the fact the whole article treats the election as a certain thing and that there cannot be anymore Trump voters other than KKK members. He broke the blue wall, he won states that were democratic for two decades and happily voted in Bill Clinton. But the media describes this as a “shock vote” to cover their readily sore bums that float in the air as people like me use them for rifle practise. It was not bad enough that Trump won but that he won well. It was a close vote but the racist won. And now I am going to tell you who to be mad at. Because as a progressive, a Trump win is not manageable if I intend to hold my political beliefs.
So obviously, we need to be mad at how Trump got into the position of the Nominee. But who do we blame? I will not go out and blame the voters, you cannot blame someone voting for Trump. I know it makes no sense but you can’t, mostly. I have read Liberal newspapers that have shamed the country and said that America is now all racist and sexists. I will be honest, deplorable voted for Trump but didn’t win it for him as he took blue states where these racists don’t live. I’ll tell you who gave the Blue states away, Hillary’s strategy of going after the Republican voters. In August, the Campaign confidently posted that losing Democrats didn’t matter as they were picking up lots of Republican voters. So, who do the left vote for? I’m sick of people saying Stein voters gave Trump the game. They didn’t, Hillary did by offering them nothing that they believed in. If both the candidates offer war, fracking and poor global warming efforts, why bother voting for the two-party system? As Ted Cruz said, “Vote your Conscious.” He obviously meant vote Hillary but this applies to Stein Voters and Johnson voters that took votes away from Donald and gave Hillary the wins in Arizona she needed to stay in the race and to give the Democrats some hope as the election rattled on. Trump is the result of anger and dissatisfaction with the government, something that the democrats failed to understand with the election that they just lost. So, I’m going to tell you who to is at fault and are factors to who is responsible for Trump.
1.     FBI Director, James Comey. This was the piece that led to the checkmate in the polls, the emails led to many people doubting Clinton and bringing Trump back into the race. At least that is what I bet you’ve been told. It is more than that, the emails don’t just make her a possible criminal, it’s a reminder as to what the Clintons are. She is haunted by Bill’s terms in office and refuses to admit it. Hence why the emails were a reminder to a lot of the older voters and even some of the more politically aware younger voters as to what sort of person would be let into the White House. The 1% and the Status Quo is embodied with her and I know that you think this doesn’t matter. Your average American voted in the last three presidents that made the difference were people that wanted change. So, Hillary offered change and James Comey decided to make the emails relevant to remind the American People remember that she has not changed in 20 years when she was involved in scandal after scandal.
2.     The DNC (Democratic National Committee) are the ones who I feel deserve all the blame that I can dish it in my angry retorts. Times were that you knew where each party stood, a Republican would represent the people who want to keep the rich rich and would play off fear and peoples insecurity, a Democrat would voice their want to nationalise industry and make the decisions that would benefit you. Now, the Democrats have become, corrupt. Yes, the infamous C word. By that, I mean that they have become festered with the same ass minded morons that will take money from the top and live in a bubble. For us in the UK, a lot of right wing movements start as London lives in a bubble which it believes reflects the rest of the UK. This is the same everywhere and especially in the USA where California and Washington just love to tell the country that this is how it is and that no such other entity can change a thing. Those idiots in the DNC are the result of hubris, the result of Mitt Romney and John McCain losing so badly to the Democrats in 2008 and 2012 that they thought the Democratic base was secure. Just get Clinton to appeal to Republicans and that is all that need be done. But they were wrong, weren’t they? Otherwise, Trump would not be making trips to the White House. We’re are infested with sensationalistic politics where the campaign is based around the person and their beliefs rather than the party or the issues. Clinton didn’t realise this and tried her hardest to make the historic nature of her candidacy her vocal point, appealing to women everywhere that this is their future. But that is just not enough, make men want to vote for you. Make the socialists who you beat want to vote for you, make everyone want to vote for you. The Clinton message was “don’t vote Trump.” Wrong. Wrong. WRONG! But what did the DNC do when the election looked close? Slap on a fake smile and deliver the newest polls showing Donald losing. This isn’t like the UK where the voters didn’t know they would win. The believed they would win and Hillary didn’t give them any reasons to vote for her, hence why all the efforts to gain Republican voters only worked when the voters would then go out and vote Libertarian.

But don’t take my word for it. Take the words of T.E Laurence. “Dreamers of the Day are dangerous men.” That is what a lot of Trump voters were. Dreamers of the Day who Hillary called Deplorable’s and dared to vote for Trump. They dared to want what Clinton wasn’t offering them. I mean look at the Clinton foreign policy proposals that she had planned. For the war-weary people of America who saw that eight years of a Republican and eight years of a Democrat would produce the same outcome, Hillary’s proposals of a no-fly zone and more Russian aggression were a ludicrous whilst one of the only sane points Donald Trump has ever made, to focus on ISIS and warm the US- Russian relations, offered voters something other than the usual slick Republican talk of “a firm leader.”

So let’s recap before you decide you hate me.
1.     This election was messy and has left us divided. The way in which people talk of this election will be historical.
2.     Donald’s victory is not a popular one, he should not be in charge right now.
3.     To blame is Hillary’s campaign of ignoring progressives and the rust belt, the media in its lampooning of Trump to the point where scandal doesn’t bother us and James Comey for the openness of the email scandal that I doubt was done properly.

4.     I will spend the next four years dogging Trump’s steps. When he messes up or hurts the progressive movement, I will be there.
